Frequently asked questions

Is there a cost to attend?

We suggest a €20 contribution to help cover event costs, but we don’t want price to be a barrier. Reduced-price options are available and explained in the registration form. All tickets include access to the full programme, a vegan lunch, and refreshments.

I'm new to effective altruism, is this summit for me?

Absolutely! This summit is specifically designed as an introduction to effective altruism for experienced professionals. No prior knowledge of EA is required.

I'm already very familiar with effective altruism, can I still attend?

Yes. While the summit is primarily designed for people relatively new to EA, we also welcome a small number of people who are already engaged with the movement. Their experience helps create a supportive environment for participants exploring EA for the first time. Because space is limited, we prioritise professionals with substantial familiarity with effective altruism or experience working in established EA organisations or cause areas.

How can I indicate dietary requirements?

You'll be able to indicate any dietary requirements in the registration form. We'll accommodate all reasonable requests. All food provided will be vegan.

I can no longer attend the summit, how can I cancel my registration? Can I get a refund?

You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund if you do so on or before 1 February 2026. Cancellations after this date cannot be refunded, as event costs will already have been committed. To cancel your registration and ask for a refund, please contact us at summit@eabrussels.org.

Do you offer travel support?

We are not offering financial travel support for this event. Please note that the summit is primarily intended for professionals based in Belgium and neighbouring countries.
